R.I.S.E. was created under the guidance of National Amateur Sports (NAS), www.nasathletics.com a sports marketing and media company focused on enhancing high school athletic programs. As a founding supporter, OrthoCarolina has been instrumental in the success of the R.I.S.E. program.
Strong connections forged by National Amateur Sports over the years allow R.I.S.E. students to experience the real-world excitement of sports marketing and media. Our Speaker Series has introduced students to a former NFL player, an NCAA quarterback, play-by-play announcers for Major League Baseball teams, NBA sideline reporters, an NCAA video director, an eight-time Emmy Award-winning network director, and more — and we’re just getting started.
By equipping all students, regardless of ZIP code, with the skills to achieve in sports marketing and media, R.I.S.E. seeks to provide economic mobility and equitable opportunities to the students we serve.

Founded in 2019 in Charlotte, North Carolina, Readiness in Sport Education (R.I.S.E.) is designed to introduce students to potential careers in sports marketing and media. Through experiential learning opportunities and engaging community events, R.I.S.E. offers a unique avenue for educational growth by helping students create a portfolio they can use to apply for college and find employment after graduation.
The R.I.S.E. program turns high school students into future sports marketing and media professionals through hands-on experiences and guidance from experts in the field.
